About the role

Technology & Engineering Lead - AOS AOS is building a technology ecosystem focused on Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, software engineering, hardware, automation, and emerging technologies. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Technology & Engineering Lead who can lead engineering teams, drive technical excellence, contribute to architecture and solution design, and help transform innovative ideas into scalable real-world solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, leadership, innovation, and execution. As a Technology & Engineering Lead at AOS, you will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, researchers, and leadership to define technical direction, build high-quality solutions, mentor talent, and establish engineering best practices. You will have the opportunity to contribute to AOS's evolving work around AI, Quantum + AI, cloud technologies, intelligent automation, software engineering, and emerging technology research and development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor high-performing engineering and technology teams.
• Define technical direction and contribute to engineering strategy.
• Design scalable, secure, reliable and high-performance technology solutions.
• Lead architecture and technical decision-making for software and emerging technology projects.
• Translate business and technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Drive development standards, code quality, testing and engineering best practices.
• Review technical designs, architecture and implementation approaches.
• Collaborate with product, business, R&D and other stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
• Guide teams in adopting modern technologies, frameworks and development practices.
• Identify opportunities for automation, optimization and continuous improvement.
• Support research and experimentation in Artificial Intelligence, Quantum + AI and emerging technologies.
• Create a culture of innovation, ownership, accountability and continuous learning.
• Mentor engineers and help develop the next generation of technology professionals.
• Monitor project progress, technical risks, dependencies and delivery quality.
• Represent the engineering function in internal and external technical discussions when required.

Requirements & qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong professional experience in software engineering, technology development or a related technical domain.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.
• Experience with system architecture, solution design and technical decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working in Agile or similar development environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and continuously evolving technology environment.
• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing and emerging technologies.
• Ability to balance technical excellence, business requirements and delivery timelines.
